Features and information

  • Dentsply AH Plus Jet root canal sealing material is a two-component paste/paste root canal sealer based on epoxy-amine resin. AH Plus sealer shows extremely low shrinkage, making it a suitable choice for sealing the root canal.
  • This root canal sealer can be used with warm or cold techniques. AH Plus Dentsply endodontic sealer provides a tight seal thanks to its self-adhesive properties and dimensional stability. It is biocompatible and shows moderate antimicrobial properties, so it has potential to significantly reduce the microbial load in the canal. AH Plus root canal sealer is highly radiopaque and clearly visible on radiographs. AH Plus is a good sealer choice for use with ProTaper Thermafil obturators because the setting reaction is not adversely affected by thermoplastic obturation.

Indication

Permanent obturation of root canals of teeth in the secondary dentition period, together with root canal points.

Contraindication

Hypersensitivity to epoxy resins, amines, or other components of the root canal filling material.

Warnings

AH Plus contains epoxy resins (paste A) and amines (paste B) that may cause sensitivity in susceptible persons. When overfilling occurs, the material is normally well tolerated by surrounding tissue. In cases where large amounts of material are pressed into the mandibular canal, immediate surgical removal should be considered in line with the current state of the art, as with all root canal materials.
