Dia-X canal file — Protaper alternative NiTi
DIA-X FILE — gold heat-treated nickel titanium rotary canal files. Superior cutting efficiency with strong, sharp action even in deep canal sections. Triangular cross-section reduces contact with the canal wall. High flexibility reduces user fatigue; coated surface provides high corrosion resistance. Shortens total shaping time vs conventional rotary technique; easy shaping in calcified or highly curved canals.
DIA-X FILE — 88% approval rate; Dental Advisor Highly Rated Product Award. Gold heat treatment increases fracture resistance of Dia-X File by 143%.
Usage recommendations
- DX — check working length with X-ray; prepare a straight access line to canal orifices
- D1 — enlarge canal entry path and coronal portion; always irrigate with NaOCl before use; use gently until a smooth path is created; continue shaping/sweeping until depth of a #15 hand file; verify working length with #15 hand file and apex locator
- D2 — enlarge apical 2/3; use D1 and D2 with sweeping until working length; check working length frequently in highly curved canals
- D3/D4/D5 — use D3 with up–down motion until #20 hand file depth; if #20 is free at WL use D4 (#25); if #25 is free at WL use D5 (#30)
Recommended settings
- Speed: 250~350 RPM
- Torque: 2~3 Ncm
Before each use check files for deformation, bending, cleanliness and sharpness. Lubricate generously with DIAPREP™ PLUS. Clean debris from flutes before continuing. Irrigate and repeat after each rotary file. Use at constant speed around 300 rpm. Apply very light pressure — never force to working length. Do not keep the file in the canal more than 1–2 seconds. Autoclave disinfect after each use.
