SmartBone® is a composite bone replacement consisting of a bovine-origin natural mineral matrix reinforced with synthetic biodegradable polymers and bovine-origin natural collagen derivatives.

SMARTBONE® has a porous macro- and microstructure similar to that found in human bone. Formation and growth of new bone mass in the implant site are facilitated by the volume in interconnected pores and the natural composition. SMARTBONE® has high mechanical properties as well as geometric and volumetric stability. The product does not break down quickly and does not lose significant volume at the implant site even in the event of inflammation.
