Kuraray Clearfil Majesty Posterior Composite Refill

Clearfil Majesty™ Posterior is a light-cured, nanoparticle-containing, radiopaque posterior restorative composite made of nano and micro inorganic fillers processed with a new special surface heat treatment technology. The new surface-wetting technology allows a large amount of nanoparticles to disperse in a resin matrix of monomers and microparticles, providing high strength.

The resin matrix is reinforced with a filler load of 92% by weight (82% by volume). Clearfil Majesty™ Posterior offers surface hardness close to natural enamel (high wear resistance while remaining antagonist-friendly), high mechanical strength (compressive strength 504 MPa, flexural strength 177 MPa), high toughness, high polymerization depth, low polymerization shrinkage (1.5% by volume), and a low coefficient of thermal expansion — supporting reliable posterior restorations with better marginal adaptation.

Despite the very high filler content, it has an easily sculptable consistency. There is no visible shade change after light curing.
