SDI Zipbond Universal Bonding — 5 ml

Zipbond Universal is a single-component, fluoride-releasing universal adhesive compatible with self-etch, selective-etch, and total-etch techniques. Total etch is regarded as the best option for enamel-only preparations.

Features

  • Reproducible, reliable bond strengths across various tooth structures and restorative options
  • Successful bond strengths on dentin and enamel using self-etch and total-etch techniques
  • Minimal fluctuation in bond strength on enamel with total etch; predictable results with each use
  • Carefully selected chemistry overcomes dentin-bonding challenges for strong, reproducible bond strengths in self-etch and total-etch
  • Similar bond strengths on wet and dry dentin, reducing technique sensitivity; even on over-dried dentin it still forms a hybrid layer
  • High adhesion to composite, ceramic, porcelain, and metal; similar bond strength across indirect substrates
  • Proprietary combination of adhesive monomers including MDP for effective adhesion to enamel, dentin, and a range of indirect substrates
  • Hydrophilic monomers rapidly infiltrate enamel and dentin tubules; after curing, hydrophobic monomers reduce water permeability for a strong interface
  • Effective hybridization continuous across the prepared cavity; tubules sealed with both techniques, minimizing post-op sensitivity risk
  • Nano-fillers for controlled use, optimum film thickness, and increased bond strength; easy homogeneous thin-layer application
  • Visible during placement and nearly invisible on dentin after curing; ideal for aesthetic zones with bleaching and translucent materials
  • Mild aroma for patient comfort
  • Fluoride release to help protect the tooth–restoration interface against demineralization

Direct applications

  • Light-cured composite restorations
  • Light-cured compomers
  • Cavity sealing before placing indirect restorations
  • Composite repair of porcelain and hybrid ceramic restorations
  • Sealing of exposed root surfaces causing hypersensitivity
  • Core build-ups using light-cure / dual-cure composites
  • Protective varnish for glass ionomer (GI) fillings

Indirect applications

Cementation of indirect restorations.
