Size guide
- Size 000: Used on anterior teeth; applied in a double layer. In the double-cord technique it can be used as cord instead of black silk suture
- Size 00: Used in preparation and cementation of veneers; recommended for restorations on thin, delicate tissues
- Size 0: Used on mandibular anterior teeth; for cementation of gingival and subgingival veneers; for Class III–IV–V restorations; used as the second cord in the double-cord technique
- Size 1: Non-epinephrine sizes 1 and 2 cords are used for tissue control and for applying hemostatic solutions in crown preparations; used as protection during anterior tooth preparation
- Size 2: Used as the upper cord in the double-cord technique; used as protection during anterior tooth preparation
- Size 3: Used as the upper cord in the double-cord technique; used on thick gingival tissues where significant force is needed
